Ioanna Samprakou is Vice President of Hellenic Association of Computer Engineers (HACE,–, elected member of the Representatives Board of Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE, for over 14 years, representing the Greek Electronic Engineers, and Gen. Secretary of “eTEE” (ICT Chapter of TEE), promoting Digital Growth, Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

She is Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Economy and Development (Investments, PPP, Exports promotion). She previously has served as Advisor to Ministers of Infrastructures, Transports and Networks. During her post as Head of Cabinet of the Gen. Secretary of Telecommunications, Posts and Digital Convergence (2012-2015) she lead the creation and negotiations for National “Strategy for Digital Growth 2021”, the National Broadband Plan (NGA Plan), and she also lead the negotiations with Troika (MoU) on the ICT and Telecommunications sector, negotiations for SES 2014-2020 achieving to reserve ~€1b EU funding for ICT sector, and successful closure of Jeremie Funds and design of new EIF programmes (ICT earmarked). She was also Greece’s representative in International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and EC Digital Agenda Committees. She voluntary acts as a mentor and judge in a number of entrepreneurship and innovation contests (hackathons), Be-Finnovative (National Bank of Greece), ALBA Venture Garden, and member of Advisory Board of BeyondCSR (Digital Economy).

She is Computer and Informatics Engineer (University of Patras), holding an  MSc in Computer Science and Technology, and a Professional MBA Degree (ALBA Business School).
